Bridging the Gap between your family and ours
Perhaps the most precious gift a child has is his or her curiosity and eagerness to discover. At the Gap Club, we provide a world of exploration in a safe, fun and caring environment. Our energetic Gap Club staff will lead children through a variety of activities including crafts, swimming, gymnasium time and much more! Gap Club is located at the YMCA Yarmouth and runs every day school is in session from 2:30 pm until 5:30 pm.
Who Can Attend?
Elementary school children from the following schools:
- Meadowfields
- South Centennial
- Central
- Arcadia
How does my child get from school to the YMCA?
Students will be picked up at their school by taxi after dismissal and taken to the YMCA, where the GAP Club Coordinator will be waiting with a wide variety of activities to keep your child entertained after school.
Holidays & In-Service Days
Depending on demand, provincial and district In-Service days may be available 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. All children MUST be registered for in-service days by noon on the school day before the in-service
Storm Days
Closure Before School Begins
Gap Club will be available between the hours of 8:00am – 5:30pm.
Closure During the School Day
All children registered to attend GAP Club that day will be picked up and brought to the YMCA. Your child can be placed on our automatic pick up list for school closure by contacting the Gap Club Coordinator.
YMCA Closure
In the event, the YMCA must close early you will be contacted.
